Trade Map operates in a web-based interactive environment and covers the trade flows of all products between 180 countries and territories. It allows exporters to analyse present export markets, pre-select priority markets, review opportunities of market, product and supplier diversification as well as identify existing and potential bilateral trade with partner countries. TradeMap also provides important information on tariff and non-tariff barriers.
A new version of Trade Map with advanced features has been developed. Users who already had access to the previous Trade Map version will need to create a new username and password to access the new Trade Map version. To do so, any user from will need to register on http://beta.trademap.net/ and will get an automatic password confirmation.
TIPS' current clients with active passwords will still have access to the previous customized version of Trade Map South Africa after 1 January 2008 for about two to three months.
