Lesego Moshikaro joined TIPS in July 2019. She is an Economist with a keen interest in economic development, manufacturing and industrial policy, land reform and restitution, and programme monitoring and evaluation (M&E). She is a Master’s candidate in Commerce specialising in Development Economics at the University of Cape Town. Her thesis focuses on benchmarking and productivity in South Africa’s automotive industry. She completed both her Honours degree in Economics and undergraduate degree majoring in Economics and Political Science and International Relations at Rhodes University. Prior to joining TIPS, Lesego worked as a Crises Response Fund (CRF) researcher and data analyst at CIVICUS, a non-profit organisation that aims to strengthen civil society around the world.
