CeSTII is a specialised research unit of the Human Sciences Research Council.

The CSIR Learning Factory can demonstrate a range of 4IR technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, robotics, 3D printing/additive manufacturing, augmented and virtual reality, and the Internet of Things. The Learning Factory is an initiative of the CSIR in collaboration with the merSETA. It was established to support South African industries in acquiring the skills needed to maximise the benefits of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
